Rumours or Truth surrounding Kennington Park Angling Club ?

  •

Just recently, it would seem there have been several rumours surrounding our local lake in Aveley, Essex. Known as the Kennington Park Angling Club (KPAC), several comments have been made with regard to the state of the club, it's ownership, management etc.

Some of these rumours are quite absurd and one of the latest buzzes is the lake being managed by travellers !

Well, as much as I would love to hear your comments on what you think of the water, good or bad, I would like to inform everyone that the lake is in good health, we have a full membership for the 3rd year running, we have a healthy amount of cash in the bank and have just undergone a series of weed & water treatments and are planning to introduce plenty of match fish very shortly when the appropriate licence has been received.

There is nothing but good will and a lot of hard effort on everyone's part at the club, both from the committee and its members and for anyone who may have heard otherwise, everything bad you hear about the club is no doubt a malicious rumour in order to cause us as much trouble as possible.

I would appreciate your thoughts on this as we really would like to put things straight and encourage as many day ticket visitors as possible. Thanks very much and we look forward to seeing/hearing from you.

Regards
Dave Haydon, Club Treasurer and Website administrator of www.kpac.co.uk
