Top tip from resident Catfish expert Karl Pulling
Our Cats have been moving and feeding well so far this season with fish coming out at 68lbs!

Cats are binge feeders and tend to feed heavily for 2 to 3 days and then lie up to digest what they have eaten. When they are in feeding mode pretty much anything will be taken from boilies to big bunches of lob worms and luncheon meat. Meat seems to be the most effective bait here at White Acres and produces most of our larger cats.

Anglers wishing to target the cats are best fishing in open water and to the backs of the bars as these definitely seem to be their patrol roots. Lines should be fished slack and need to be 15lb to 18lb with 18lb being preferred.  Good luck!
