Pegs 1-10, fish the btm of shelf at 3-4mtrs in front of u , keep feeding and they will come,i have won 3x from these pegs dont ignore margins. Pegs 15-16 fish island at 14mtr very good pegs, pegs 17/24 in the bowl fish the same as early pegs but a little further out also margins, peg 25 speaks for itself (you will see what i mean) 26/35 much the same as the rest , all open pegs fish well up in the water, with bigger fish in margins later. Bait wise, pellet and paste are the norm, corn, caster, maggot, hemp and catmeat score well, take plenty with you. Good luck

I want to start course fishing. I am a complete novice. Is it wise to start at a place like Decoy Lakes Whittlesey. If so, which of the lakes ? Any advice would be appreciated.
I see fishing is also permitted at Ferry Meadows Peterborough- is that a better starting place.

hi
First I like to say thanks for a very enjoyable weekend fishing we
{Donfield Taven fishing club} fished Six Islands & Lous Lake and have booked for next year. What I wise to know is information on the rules some say. {you can} use method feededs {KORUM} flat bottem as you sell them in you shop. but not the triangle type ie` makes a ball. you can use Bread a long as its below the surface of water. ie`6ins. as we did not weight in one member for using one of the above {Bread, methed feeder} it ended the day with half members debateing and argue this spoiled the week end for some members
Please send reply by email so that I can print of copys to hand out to our members so next year ALL members have a copy
thank you

2011-09-21 14:56:28 | Shaun - Match on Oak lake
Hi, Ive got a match coming up at Decoy on Oak lake, I have never fished at Decoy before, so hoping someone can give me some advice on best tactics and baits etc... Clearly I won't know which peg until the day, match is at end of Sep. I am generally using pole, but do have feeder and float rods too. Any advice is appreciated and will give me a little more confidence, hate turning up to new places completely blind.
Thanks.

2011-10-01 18:38:47 | Simon - Fishing at Decoy
Hi All.
I am thinking of going to Decoy as it's recommended as a great carp lake. I'll have 2 lads with me 8 + 10. Does anyone recommend any particular bait/method/etc? We went to Drayton reservior recently and although the place was rammed with people (You couldn't park), no one was catching anything despite it being one of the best supposed carp lakes in the UK.
It will be mid October when we go so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Simon
