It's been years since I fished Castle Ashby, haven't been since I was about 15/16 now I'm 27...
Back in the day it was a great water but I've heard mixed messaged about it these days. One of the best days I had was spent bagging crucian's from Brickyard pond... I was so young at the time I didn't realise the average size was so impressive. I think they averaged over 1lb each, thats a pretty decent head of crucian by anyone's standard right?
Thing is, are they still there? I have no idea. I'll be back this summer to find out.

It has some years since l fished at Castle Ashby l drove past this morning and could not believe the change. A good friend of mine wants to do some fishing whilst staying with us wc 25th June.
Please advice of cost to fish with two rods each, is bait available locally and your rules on hooks , baits, etc
Many thanks
Dave
