Lac de Lumiere is a private lake situated in the heart of the Loire Valley near Sancerre, the famous wine growing region, and runs parallel to the Lateral Canal of the Loire. A 3 acre lake newly established in 2009, in idyllic surroundings in an area of Chateaux, Countryside and Vineyards. The lake used to be an old limestone quarry and is stocked with Mirror, Grass and Common Carp, with predators such as Pike, Bass and Zander.
The lake is fed by an underwater spring and remains beautifully clear all year round. The swims are large enough to have your bivvy and rods in and give you a good area to fish. The canal runs literally passed the property and this too can be fished 24 hours a day with a Carte de Peche, which we can obtain on your behalf.

Well what can i say but go and try this fishery for yourselves you wont be dissapointed and we even got a great tan weather was superb and the fishing even better a nice 40lb and a 30lb mirror made my week along with a 28lb and 19lb common which were like torpedos best fighting carp i have ever landed

this lake never lets you down what a week of fishing had some great carp my biggest 38lb and the smallest 23lb total of 13 fish unlucky for some but not me,Andre smashed his pb with a 45lb grass and jim landing a 49lb grass was the icing on the cake we also had three tench just under the double figure mark and boy do they fight like carp in this lake.if you want somewhere to go away from all the big expensive fisheries give LDL a go and a bet your go back again and again and again take the misses and let her sun bathe outside the cabin while you enjoy the fishing you cant go wrong.

well have only made it out once this year as money was tight but got to use the new cabin which was superb(thanks sarah for the wine and cheese).FISHING was as good if not better had atotal of 19 fish all over 20lb biggest 41lb mirror beat my PB by 4lb plenty of matrix and trevs ground bait wads the best result.Trev has a few photos of the new fish that have been added to the lake with some lovely commons and a new grass carp

Been here three times this year each time have taken party of four and we have had some stunning and hard fighting carp of all shapes and size 45lb-18lb 58 fish in total. sarah and trevor are top carp fishing people who really no there stuff and will go to any lengths to get you on the fish at this superb fishery at £500 for over a weeks fishing they let us stay the saturday night and get a later trip back on the sunday not many people would do that for free. will be heading back again very soon!
