Another 54 angling projects have benefitted from a share of £200,000 from the Angling Improvement Fund (AIF). Administered by the Angling Trust in partnership with the Environment Agency, the AIF reinvests income from rod licence sales into ventures that aid freshwater fishing nationwide. England Ladies Coarse Angling Team just missed out of a podium place after finishing fourth in the 23rd FIPSed Ladies World Coarse Fishing Championship in Spain from 27th – 28th August 2016. With bankside temperatures exceeding 42 degrees and evening temperatures of up to 35 degrees conditions were almost unbearable.
