Evesham Festival | 27-29 August 2011

  •

This year’s Evesham Festival extravaganza promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a star-studded line-up of anglers and a host of other attractions!

Evesham Festival - UK angling eventsThe three-day August Bank Holiday festival takes place at the historic market town and is one of the longest-running fixtures in the angling calendar, with three very prestigious days of fishing. It starts with the eagerly contested Shakespeare Championship on Saturday, August 27th, followed by the Wychavon Championship on Sunday, 28th and culminates with the 14-team Match Fishing Team Championship on the 29th.

Last year was the first time that bloodworm and joker were allowed for all three days and this turned out to be a resounding success, with countless fish caught throughout the length – exactly what a spectator-driven event like this needs!

This year will follow the same format with star names like Wayne Swinscoe, Darren Cox, Denis White, Hadrian Whittle, Simon Willsmore and Lee Kerry all taking part. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn from the very best and even bag an autograph or two!

Alongside the fishing there are tents galore full of tackle with top bargains to be had, plus a funfair, craft tent and loads of kids’ activities. This really is an event for all the family!
